Claudia Lann Valore
Chief Program Officer
In her role as Chief Program Officer, Claudia Lann Valore is tasked with overseeing PEP’s service and program operation, with specific focus on day treatment and early childhood programming. She is instrumental in the administrative, management, and leadership activities of the agency.
Ms. Valore’s tenure at PEP spans over 30 years, providing her with vast institutional knowledge. Her passion for children and her dedication to serving the agency has helped shape PEP into the largest child-serving non-profit in the County. She joined PEP as a classroom teacher and has served as a case manager, program specialist for curriculum and instruction, Day Treatment Center program coordinator, and assistant executive director.
Ms. Valore is immediate past president of the American Re-EDucation Association, a professional organization of behavioral health care and education agencies that work with troubled and troubling children and their families. She is a member of several professional associations including the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators, the Association of Pupil Personnel Directors, and the Council for Exceptional Children.
In 2008 Ms. Valore was a recipient of the distinguished Hearts of Hope award given by Beech Brook and The Plain Dealer. She earned a bachelor’s degree in general and special education from Kent State University and a master’s degree in education administration from Cleveland State University. She has authored articles and contributed chapters to various publications and has presented to audiences both locally and nationally. Dedicated to helping children realize their potential, her favorite Principle of Re-EDucation is, “A child should know some joy in each day.”
