PEP to Host Back-to-School Career Fair July 24

PEP to Host Back-to-School Career Fair July 24

On Wednesday, July 24 Positive Education Program will host a back-to-school career fair at its central office. The event will highlight opportunities for intervention specialists, classroom associates, ATCs (therapeutic behavior specialists) and substitute teachers at all grade levels for the 2024-2025 school year. Attendees will be able to participate in on-site interviews and on-site offers will be made.

PEP is one of the largest child-serving nonprofit organizations in the state and is guided by a strengths-based approach. The agency provides both direct and consultative services for children challenged by complex developmental trauma, mental health issues and autism, their families and the professionals who support them. Programs include five Day Treatment Centers, (PEP Chesnutt, PEP Hopewell, PEP Phoenix, PEP Prentiss Autism Center, PEP Willow Creek) PEP Connections, PEP Early Childhood Plus and PEP Assist.

“I’ve worked in private schools and large public districts. PEP is different,” says Holly Benkner, an intervention specialist at PEP Willow Creek. “We are mental health and special education at our core, not just a piece of a larger community. [This approach] allows us to focus on being the best at what we do.”
