Training Opportunity: Understanding Behavior Through a Trauma-Informed Lens (Feb. 25-26)

As the leading trauma-informed organization serving Greater Cleveland, PEP puts an emphasis on helping professionals understand the impact stressful or traumatic events can have on a child’s development.

The PEP Training Institute‘s latest offering – Understanding Behavior Through a Trauma-Informed Lens – is designed to help teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff and others confidently meet the needs of children demonstrating challenging behaviors.

The two-day program will be held Feb. 25-26 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The program costs $200 per participant. For a registration form and additional information, click here.

Day One (Monday, Feb. 25):

  • Effects of Trauma in the Student and its Manifestations in the Classroom
  • Trauma-Informed Interventions

Day Two (Tuesday, Feb. 26):

  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention Strategies

Our trainers have all worked in PEP classrooms and are equipped with the skills and strategies needed when working with children who have difficulties regulating emotions, severe mental health challenges, autism and other special needs.
